Jagmohan Bangani was born in Uttarakhand 1977 and  in 2000 studied at the D.A.V.College M.A. (Drawing and Painting ) and achieved a M.F.A.(Painting) from the Winchester School of Art, UK in 2007. Scripted words and coloured lines and images, that is, those of the deeply sensing and envisioning faculties, enrich us with the silent beauty that lies is such profusion behind the blinding mist of appearances. If only we were to look at the world closely – without expectation – we at once realize that not an iota of the world is mundane. Mundane are our responses to on-going life, namely when we are not dispassionately attuned to it.    In this drip-line work, two arts – that of the word, and the one of the abstract image – come in harmonious union with a view to enhance the pleasures of the mind, as much as to enhance our spirits. Given that the separate-seeing senses are in fact linked, each one of them inevitably is at the base of every one of the arts. It is so this young artist has tried to renew this friendly partnership at a moment of time when words and images are going their opposite ways. The loss of affect in the divided faculties has been perceptible for any who care to not it in present culture.

Jagmohan Bangani, the maker of the lively, indeed alive and vibrant lines, is certainly an imaginative painter, and thus comes of his lovingly crafted coloured-pattern work. His repertoire is large, this showing being only a small sampling. As for myself, I have profited enormously, most of my adult life, by feeding off the rich minerals of health that poetry and paintings disburse so freely. But these have perforce to come of felt experiences or not at all.  It is now, I believe, has mutated about a happy meeting of the two faculties, or those of the eye and the ear. Such meeting, we hope brings the perusers of this work some few moments of innocent joy. Jagmohan lives and works in Delhi.
