Prasenjit was born in 2nd January, 1977. He achieved his B.F.A. in Painting from the Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharti University in 2003 and then completed his M.F.A. from the I.K.S.V.V. Khairagarh (C.G.) in 2005.  He has exhibited throughout India in numerous group exhibitions.  His works convey the depth and range of human expression. He reaches within to unravel sensuality, sincerity, betrayal and loss. He also seeks to convey themes of liberation, enchantment and love. His work is ultimately optimistic using earthy warm and evocative colors throughout.

In this sense the raw and intense emotional expression is an attempt to liberate humans from more stereotyped and formalized style of communication. The canvas is also a conduit which allows the viewers to access a panoply of human emotions.
